Updated pic and question for Toni!!!!

As Ruth had mentioned, I had wanted to stitch another square on KarenAZ's piece, so Ruth sent it back to me after she stitched on it. I ended up stitching 2 more squares, "H" and "I" (back in Sept, I stitched "J" and "R"). Here is an updated picture.

Question for Toni --- how is your recovery going? Are you stitching yet? Reason I asked.... Julie and I were talking last week. She currently has a couple Society RR pieces, ones that she will be sending to you when they are finished. If you are up to stitching, would you like me to send KarenAZ's piece to you now, you stitch on it next, then send it back to Julie? If you were starting to stitch again, it would get a piece to you now and by the time you finished it and sent it to Julie, Julie will probably have sent you another package with others to work on. Entirely up to you... if you're still not recovered enough to stitch, I'll send KarenAZ's piece to Julie.

I finally got some stitchign done...

I started Julie's today and I'm hopinh to finish it today too. (now that Jim's home) I'm hoping to then start on ruth's and have both of them ready to send by the end of this week. Then I'll start on Chris' since Shelleen still has Sandy's. not that I'm complaining that Shelleen still has one. I think 3 is plenty for me at one time. LOL

Believe it or not!!!

I finished 2 rr's over the weekend and got them both in the mail to Ruth today!!! Yes, Ruth I finshed one of them in 1 day. So go ahead and call me an ugly name like you usually do.

Haven't had much free time to myself in the past 3 months. Can you say finally 3 hours on Thursday. Totally and completely by myself.

My Round Robin

Karen let me know that the DMC that I had sent along with my Round Robin had run out.  I'm not sure if Karen has already mailed to Shelleen.  I apparently didn't note my color changes for myself before I mailed.  

Can you guys let me know the colors which ran out, and I'll forward the DMC along to Shelleen which I think Karen said is getting it next.

Hi! I have finished Ruth's RR (finally), i don't know why it took me so long, it was a fun stitch, just took me longer than i thought it would. Then since i had already rec'd Chris's RR i thought i might as well plug away on that one too so i can just send them both on over to Karen. Chris's only took me one night to stitch. I really enjoyed stitching both of these RR's!

Got a question for you on your RR. I've got the cutest snowman pattern I'd love to stitch but it's not like the previous stitched snowmen.

Will that be okay? The other snowmen are along the lines of Bent Creek type. This one doesn't have anything to do with Christmas. It's just a snowman peeking in a window.

Your package arrived Friday. Very cute envelope. To explain: Her "package" was a brightly decorated Christmas envelope. It contained both KarenNY's RR piece and KarenAZ's RR piece. Both are looking great so far. I should be able to stitch quickly on KarenNY's and get it mailed on time on June 15th.

Now, Sharon, I need some advice. The fabric is the same color as the thread for the gulls and lighthouse. I've switched the gulls to light grey. How would you like me to handle the body of the lighthouse? I was thinking of switching it to a light brick shade but I could do it in white and outline it? Whatcha think?

I FINALLY finished Karen NY's piece that is only 2 weeks late. I'm planning on stitching Karen AZ's this weekend and sending it all out at once - hopefully Monday. We'll see how the little man cooperates since daddy has guard drill and it's just mommy and Josh during the day.

Okay, so when i first got it in the mail and was reading the instructions i just couldn't understand a thing in it. Well, i had a massive migraine (it was a real doozy) that day so i knew that was why. I took it out this afternoon and am now plugging away on it. very simple to read and follow the directions when you're feeling just fine. LOL I have 1 band done 3 more to go.

I love the colors you chose Julie. very pretty blues. when i finish it up i will post a pic. It is going with me to Flagstaff tomorrow so when i am just sitting in the room tomorrow night i have something to stitch.

Ruth's RR arrived the other day. I've looked at the patterns and picked out the one I want to do, but probably won't get it started until next weekend. I'm leaving Monday morning (6:30am - ugh) for 4 days - business trip, no leisure - bummer . . . but it will be nice to get away for a couple of days. DH hates it when I'm gone which makes it hard to leave, but I really enjoy helping with our management meetings, so it's kind of a treat for me.

Toni's RR finished

Toni's RR piece's are very small (actually smaller than mine, which i didn't think was possible) LOL. These were so much fun to stitch, very quick and satisfying and now i need to get this chart! Here are the 2 i did with the charms/beads attached.



Also, here is a finish of my own this week, it is Dog House sampler by LHN. The buttons i added, there is a big dog bone that is suppose to be stitched but i didn't want to stitch all that white. LOL this was one of my UFO's so that makes me really happy! thought i would share with you all.

My RR going out tomorrow

Hi All! Karen it will be in tomorrow's mail to you (Sat 2/9/08 priority) I finally got mine ready to go (minus a few of the squares). I stitched the majority of them for the alphabet but got sooooo tired of the green so some of them still need the border stitched. You can stitch the ones that are already there or if you feel like it the other ones as well. They are all 26x26 so they are small. I will post a pic a little later of what i have done so far. Also, I have also enclosed another small piece of fabric for everyone to stitch their name and state on (pic for this one as well). I stitched "The Society" at the top then my name just follow along with your name. I am going to have this piece made into a wall hanging and am having this piece of fabric with everyone's name on it sewn into the backing fabric.

I didn't make it to the Post Office last night . . .

We had sleet and freezing rain on my way home from work - it took me 1-1/2 hours to go 13 miles . . . and today it's snowing like crazy - we are expected to get 12 inches on top of the 8 or 10 we already have - oh, joy! Needless to say, I decided to work from home today. I have a wonderful boss (who is traveling out of town) who usually suggests that I work from home when we have weather like this - he knows I'm just a wimp driving in bad snowy weather.

Anyway, I'm hoping to get the to the post office tomorrow with my RR - KarenAZ - I'll keep you posted!

I got mine out on time but....

it almost didn't survive the trip. Why do I have problems with the US Postal service? I even taped the top and bottom of the envelope to make sure nothing came out of there. But it appears that it came out the side! :0

OK - I didn't get as far as I hoped to but here it is. Can you believe I screwed up the count on the border for February? Yep! Oh well - I "fixed" it pretty well I think. :) You'd think after 2 math degrees I'd be able to count right with 1 project anyway! LOL

Here's what I just finished in the past 2 days!!

I just finished this one yesterday and hopefully will get it pressed and to the framer's this weekend. I've had going for several months and decided I'd best finish it before I start any baby stitching or the RR. I started stitching it quite a while ago and almost ripped all the off white out and started again but I thought I'd see what the framer could do to make the off white pop out.

Here's what I finished today. Started it yesterday. Nothing much going on at work these days (except us watching NCIS and stitching) (I taught my office mate to stitch)

One cloth diaper down and 11 more to go. Waste canvas + cloth diapers = sore elbow and fingers. But Jeremy Daniel is worth it I guess :) :)

Anyone have any adjustment thoughts?

I'm getting there on getting my price ready. I picked the square I knew I didn't like so I could change all the words. lol That's only taken a couple weeks of debating and charting and recharting and stitching and ripping and debating and recharting. I'm back to stitching now and I think it'll stick this time. The only other thing I need to do is figure out one or two floss replacements -- since I changed the fabric a couple of the flosses called for are just invisible now -- we can't have that, can we?!

I finally chose a theme...

I finally chose what to do for our exchange.  And man it sure was hard.  I decided it would be so fun to have a needlework tool so to speak....

Judy Odell's Ultimate Needlebook.

I'm changing colors, and adding some minor stitching to the inside panels.  I think the bands can be easily divided up between everyone and everyone can sign  on the inside.  I think it will be fun to have a finished piece by so many friends that I can use all the time.

I spent the weekend going over the finishing to make sure I cut the fabric correctly, and began my part and grids.

So, it's 2008 ACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Anyone even ready for 2007 to start?

Officially there are 9 of us. Michele left of merry band. I've left her on the members list in case she suddenly has a change of heart. In the next oouple weeks I'll email you all to check that I have perfect addresses and get out a shipping rota to everyone.

Since we're a little less than a month away for our first mailing, how about a check up to see how thigs are shaping up---

I'm hopeless as usual. I have yet to cut my fabric, but I have stayed true to my original plan to do the LHN "inspiration/scripture" squares. There are 12 of them, but I'll work out the excess later. I will stitch a semi-central square (the one of the set that comes without exterior borders) and hopefully another one so that there are plenty of opportunities for you to take off in misc directions depending on your whims.

Clarification on our number

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year everyone! Well, i haven't started my RR yet and have changed my mind once again. I totally forgot i have the Christmas Alphabet by Prairie Schooler and am going to figure out how i want to lay it out and hopefully start it within the next couple days. Everyone can stitch 2 squares on this one, they are pretty small.
