I have both KarenAZ and KarenNY pieces ... I stitched on KarenAZ's a l-o-o-o-ong time ago and had forgotten.

I finished KarenNY's piece last night, and when I picked up KarenAZ's piece, I thought "hmmm, this looks really familiar" - because I already stitched on it!

I have to laugh at myself because I told Ruth that I hadn't seen KarenAZ's piece. Sorry Ruth!

So - for those of you who have yet to reach the wonderful age of 52 - this what you have to look forward to!

I hope to get both pieces to KarenAZ tomorrow - or as soon as I REMEMBER to buy an evelope!

I thought, as we sit here balanced between spring and summer, we should check in and see where we're at. Who's got what and what's left to do. We should be closing in on being done.... kinda exciting, huh?

Black hole is letting one free.

I can't offer enough apologies for becoming the black hole of the Round Robin. Words just can't express it.

Andy however, literally forced me to spend time stitching to make up for my terrible service to the round robin and get something done. He told me the house could stay a pig-sty for one more weekend, I had to stitch.

I have gotten one done and will be mailing it off this week. Another is half-way done and Andy is right there cracking the whip to keep me going.

I'm really trying to get my stuff moving. You are all free to poke and flog me over my horrible communication and work. Work has become a bear and instead of using my stitching to help with the stress (which i used to do), if I'm not working extra hours when i get home, I'm just shutting down. Andy is helping me get my priorities straight and live up to my obligation much better. It is taking time, but I am slowly getting the stitching underway.

Both Ruth and Julie let me know that they would like to see progress pictures of their RR.

Here is a progress picture of the main part of Julie's RR:

Julie, the seperate pieces for the other spine and the needle keep have also been stitched, I just didn't include them in the photo. I'll be continuing the section on the left, the part that has the "over 1" section. I'm going out of town this weekend and will take it with me, but not sure how much stitching I'll get done on things I take with me. The section I'll be stitching should not take too long so I hope to have it done within a couple of weeks.

And here is progress picture of Ruth's RR:

For those that haven't received it yet, there are 5 designs remaining, one for the empty spot to the right and four that form the top row. I did lay the remaining designs on the fabric in their respective spot and have decided which one I'll be stitching. As soon as I get Julie's RR done, I'll be working on Ruth's RR.

To Toni - I finally got package with KarenAZ's RR into the mail to you. I was going to mail it to you weeks ago, but one thing after another happened and I had it way too long. I believe JulieGA is still working on getting caught up, so instead of sending KarenAZ's RR to JulieGA, it's on its way to you. You and Julie are the last 2 to stitch on it before it goes home to KarenAZ, so you will need to send it back to JulieGA when you're finished with it.

And SharonPA's package arrived on my front porch today containing both JulieGA's and RuthCA's RRs. Looking at the mailing order, JulieGA's RR is first. I will get started on it tonight.

Hi! Happy New YEar everyone! Well, i haven't had a RR in quite awhile and was wondering if there is one out there that needs to be stitched on by me that might be able to be sent to me? As Ruth had mentioned, I had wanted to stitch another square on KarenAZ's piece, so Ruth sent it back to me after she stitched on it. I ended up stitching 2 more squares, "H" and "I" (back in Sept, I stitched "J" and "R"). Here is an updated picture.

And, Ruth, here is the signature piece with your name added.

Question for Toni --- how is your recovery going? Are you stitching yet? Reason I asked.... Julie and I were talking last week. She currently has a couple Society RR pieces, ones that she will be sending to you when they are finished. If you are up to stitching, would you like me to send KarenAZ's piece to you now, you stitch on it next, then send it back to Julie? If you were starting to stitch again, it would get a piece to you now and by the time you finished it and sent it to Julie, Julie will probably have sent you another package with others to work on. Entirely up to you... if you're still not recovered enough to stitch, I'll send KarenAZ's piece to Julie.

My Round Robin

Hi! I have finished Ruth's RR (finally), i don't know why it took me so long, it was a fun stitch, just took me longer than i thought it would. Got a question for you on your RR. I've got the cutest snowman pattern I'd love to stitch but it's not like the previous stitched snowmen.

Will that be okay? The other snowmen are along the lines of Bent Creek type. This one doesn't have anything to do with Christmas. It's just a snowman peeking in a window.

Your package arrived Friday. Very cute envelope. To explain: Her "package" was a brightly decorated Christmas envelope. It contained both KarenNY's RR piece and KarenAZ's RR piece. Both are looking great so far. I should be able to stitch quickly on KarenNY's and get it mailed on time on June 15th.

But here's a surprise for her. I decided the May one went so fast I'd do another one-- August. Here it is so far.

Now, Sharon, I need some advice. The fabric is the same color as the thread for the gulls and lighthouse. I've switched the gulls to light grey. How would you like me to handle the body of the lighthouse? I was thinking of switching it to a light brick shade but I could do it in white and outline it? Whatcha think?

I FINALLY finished Karen NY's piece that is only 2 weeks late. I'm planning on stitching Karen AZ's this weekend and sending it all out at once - hopefully Monday. We'll see how the little man cooperates since daddy has guard drill and it's just mommy and Josh during the day.

Okay, so when i first got it in the mail and was reading the instructions i just couldn't understand a thing in it. Well, i had a massive migraine (it was a real doozy) that day so i knew that was why. I took it out this afternoon and am now plugging away on it. very simple to read and follow the directions when you're feeling just fine. LOL I have 1 band done 3 more to go.

I love the colors you chose Julie. very pretty blues. when i finish it up i will post a pic. It is going with me to Flagstaff tomorrow so when i am just sitting in the room tomorrow night i have something to stitch.

Ruth's RR arrived the other day. I've looked at the patterns and picked out the one I want to do, but probably won't get it started until next weekend. I'm leaving Monday morning (6:30am - ugh) for 4 days - business trip, no leisure - bummer . . . but it will be nice to get away for a couple of days. DH hates it when I'm gone which makes it hard to leave, but I really enjoy helping with our management meetings, so it's kind of a treat for me.

Am I rambling - probably - oh, well . . .

Hi All! I just finished Schoolgirl Lessons by LHN on Tuesday night (started last thursday night). It was a quick fun stitch. I used 32ct Lakeside LInens V. Lentil and Belle Soie in Mer Bleu (1 full skein). Now to sit down with Julie's RR and take a look at it and try to get started on it soon.
